Heavy Forklift Operator

Location: Litchfield Park

Heavy Forklift Operator Logistics Plus is seeking an experienced Heavy Forklift Operator to safely handle oversized, heavy, and specialized industrial cargo. This is not a traditional warehouse forklift position. The ideal candidate has experience operating large-capacity forklifts, understands load balance and center of gravity, and takes a safety-first approach to every lift.

Key Responsibilities Operate high-capacity forklifts, including large Hyster and other heavy-lift equipment.

Load, unload, move, and position oversized and specialized cargo.

Assess loads for weight distribution, center of gravity, lift points, and safe handling methods.

Read and interpret load diagrams, handling instructions, and shipping documentation.

Safely secure and transport cargo using approved material-handling techniques.

Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.

Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.

Qualifications Experience operating heavy forklifts or similar material-handling equipment.

Experience handling oversized, irregular, or high-value freight.

Strong understanding of load balance, weight distribution, lift points, and safe lifting practices.

Ability to read diagrams, load plans, and handling instructions.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and sound judgment.

Preferred Experience Hyster heavy forklift experience.

Industrial, manufacturing, construction, project cargo, or heavy logistics environments.

Experience handling transformers, electrical equipment, generators, machinery, or other large industrial components.
