JOB SUMMARY:
An industry leader in premium Black Angus beef seeks a motivated individual looking for an opportunity to put his or her accounting experience to use in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for processing cattle payments, daily USDA market reporting, freight payable processing and general accounts payable processing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor daily cash transactions and approve transfers
- Process weekly operations expense journal entries
- Analyze and process credit card receipt transactions
- Complete and evaluate monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete weekly CAPEX spending analysis
- Maintain fixed asset subledger and all fixed asset transactions
- Serve as backup for other accounting positions
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Associates degree required or equivalent experience, bachelor's preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible basic accounting experience.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information while meeting stringent deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
4. Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
