Aboutthe Role
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and executing the organization's environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and to drive a culture of safety and sustainability. This role plays a key leadership position in shaping EHS strategy, minimizing risk, and promoting best‑in‑class safety practices across all operations.
What You’ll Do- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures aligned with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.).
- Lead EHS audits, inspections, and assessments across sites; identify gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert on environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and workplace safety.
- Manage incident investigation processes, including root cause analysis, reporting, corrective actions, and follow‑ups.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees and leadership.
- Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and KPIs to evaluate effectiveness and drive strategic decisions.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and response plans are updated, communicated, and tested regularly.
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, HR, legal, and engineering to embed EHS into the business culture.
- Supervise and mentor EHS staff or site‑level coordinators (if applicable).
- Support sustainability initiatives, environmental reporting, and climate‑related disclosures where needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ISO 14001/45001 standards, and other relevant regulations.
- Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, energy, or related industries.
- Proven leadership, communication, and change‑management skills.
- Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).
- Experience with EHS software platforms (Enablon, Intelex, Velocity
EHS, etc.). - Ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with hands‑on implementation capability.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Occasional domestic travel may be required.
Shift: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday–Friday.
