ACCOUNTANT
Townes Telecommunications Services Corp – LEWISVILLE, AR
TTSC is a services company for 7 telephone and 6 communications companies. We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and self-sufficient person that possess excellent written, communication, organizational and computer skills, and can function in a busy atmosphere. Must be able to work independently and manage monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines for several of the companies.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Accounting Degree AND four years’ experience
- General knowledge of GAAP accounting
- Highly organized and self-directed with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized accounting software applications
- Knowledge of auditing, cash management, budgeting and reconciliations
- Ability to keep on a timeline
- Ability organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
- Skill in reading and interpreting statistical and financial data
- Ability to take initiative
- Perform other duties as required or assigned while maintaining current timeline
- Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
- Analyze monthly general ledger revenue and expense account detail / compile variance analysis reports
- Analyze/reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports to local, state and federal agencies
- Prepare monthly analysis reports for management
- Maintain monthly data and prepare annual reports for auditors
- Create monthly recurring and non-recurring journal entries / compile proper backup documentation
- Maintain fixed asset records monthly
- Compilation of monthly financial statements for management
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Maintain company confidentiality
- Update job knowledge by reading industry publications & participating in educational opportunities (via webcasts or industry expos)
- Prepare various financial statements and reports. Review, analyze and interpret financial data for use by management in assessing financial status of the organization
- Prepare regulatory reports and state and federal tax reports as appropriate
- Prepare and submit regulatory compliance filings and other in-house reports
- Monitor company compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, industry regulations, and company procedures
- Determine accounting processes and resolve complex questions and issues
- Prepare for and assists with company audits
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by management
