Position Summary

Excelcare Health Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Purchaser to join our growing team. This position plays an important role in supporting our skilled nursing and senior care facilities by assisting with the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services necessary for daily operations. We are willing to train the right candidate—no prior purchasing experience is required.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with purchasing supplies, equipment, and materials for multiple healthcare facilities.
  • Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and order status.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Track and follow up on outstanding orders and deliveries.
  • Review invoices and purchasing documentation for accuracy.
  • Maintain purchasing records and vendor information.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership and department managers to meet purchasing needs.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and purchasing efficiencies.
  • Perform other administrative and purchasing-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Qualifications
  • No purchasing experience required – training will be provided.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to reliability.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, facility leadership, and team members.
  • Previous customer service, administrative, retail, or office experience is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in healthcare operations, purchasing, or business administration is a plus.
