Automotive Inventory Associate

As an Automotive Inventory Associate at Car Max, you'll ensure our used vehicle inventory is accurate, organized, and ready for customers. You will receive and inspect incoming vehicles, verify VIN and feature information, tag and stage vehicles on the lot, and update records using handheld devices and inventory software. Working closely with sales and service teams, you'll help maintain a safe, efficient, and customer-ready environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming vehicles into Car
• Max inventory systems
• Verify VIN, trim, mileage, and key features for accuracy
• Tag, label, and organize vehicles on the lot for easy location and access
• Conduct basic quality and safety checks on vehicles before display
• Update and maintain accurate inventory records and status changes
• Coordinate vehicle movement with sales and service teams
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damage promptly
• Follow safety, security, and compliance procedures at all times
• Use handheld devices and software for real-time inventory updates
• Support a transparent, inclusive, and team-oriented culture
