What tasks you can expect
In this role, you will lead the "Automation and Software Development" team and jointly drive the digital/AI transformation for customers in aerospace, transport, and other industries. You will combine technical leadership with people leadership, overseeing services and projects from start to finish, and making progress measurable (KPIs, value). You will identify AI/automation potentials, implement them from idea to stable operation, and ensure clear standards for quality, security, data protection, and compliance.
- You are the primary contact for your clients, ensuring high satisfaction through clear communication, reliable delivery, and transparent risk management (quality, traceability, compliance) – also for AI/automation topics.
- You develop existing customers and support business development: identify and evaluate use cases, sharpen value cases, set up PoCs, and scale successful solutions.
- You translate customer and market requirements into concrete offers and roadmaps – focusing on standardization, reusability, automation, and measurable business value (KPIs).
- You develop our services in line with market/customer needs: prioritize ideas, create business cases, and bring automation/AI from PoC to scaling in operations.
- You drive operational excellence with your team: improve processes and tooling, establish standards, drive automation, and develop skills strategically.
- You design the service portfolio (including AI-supported services) and set practical guidelines.
- You lead your team technically and disciplinarily, coach daily, and develop skills further – especially around AI, automation, and modern engineering practices.
- You design personnel and competency development in the HR cycle and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning – including responsible data and AI use.
- You support recruiting and ensure strong onboarding and long-term retention – while adhering to labor laws, guidelines, and company agreements.
Who we are looking for
- Proven leadership achievements: leading, developing, and motivating teams; clear prioritization and decision-making skills
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in defining, developing, and operating complex IT/PLM solutions; strong technical leadership and project/service management skills
