Pricing Specialist for New Business
Job DescriptionYou are the central contact person for pricing in new customer business and ensure that our pricing and negotiation strategy is coherent, sustainable, and convincing for both customers and partners. You work closely with internal interfaces and external partners and accompany new customers from the pitch phase to successful onboarding.
This position is a specialist leadership role without direct personnel responsibility – you drive and advance topics and take on the following tasks:
- Development and management of pricing strategies for new business and pitches in the area of digital advertising.
- Calculation and evaluation of prices, conditions, and bilateral commitments taking into account market, cost, and performance parameters.
- Onboarding of new customers and account teams including coordination of relevant interfaces.
- Negotiation of prices and terms with external partners (publishers, marketers, platforms) as well as bilateral commitments.
- Analysis and structuring of large data sets to derive pricing and investment recommendations.
- Close cooperation with internal stakeholders to make pricing and investment decisions comprehensible and sustainable.
- Specialist management and guidance for colleagues in questions related to pricing and condition models.
We are looking for:
- Several years of experience in digital marketing, media buying, trading, investment, or a comparable environment.
- Very good understanding of pricing logic in digital advertising (e.g., CPM, CPC, CPA, programmatic, inventory, and discount models).
- Profound analytical skills, confident handling of numbers and large data sets, very good Excel skills.
- Strong in communication and stakeholder management:
You can explain complex pricing models clearly and appropriately for internal and external audiences. - Negotiation skills and poise in discussions with partners and customers.
- Experience in interface management and basic project management skills (planning, prioritization, follow-up).
- First experience in specialist leadership or the role as the go-to person for a special topic is advantageous.
