Position Title:
Giga Campus Construction Lead
The Giga Campus Construction Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing construction delivery for assigned campus projects. This role serves as a key liaison across internal teams and external partners—including design managers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and customers—to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities- Oversee large-scale construction efforts including site development, ground-up builds, data center deployments, and customer fit-outs.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, key subcontractors, equipment vendors, and consultants.
- Review project budgets, schedules, and construction documents to ensure quality and alignment with internal targets.
- Serve as a construction subject matter expert when evaluating prospective customer leases and active projects.
- Lead budget and schedule review meetings with internal stakeholders and customer representatives, reporting on risks and progress.
- Direct and coordinate internal design and construction managers as well as third-party consultants and engineering partners.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules across multiple buildings in varying phases of design and construction.
- Monitor active construction work, escalating issues and driving resolution as needed.
- Conduct or delegate site observations to confirm adherence to budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Support permitting and entitlement processes through coordination with consultants and government agencies.
- 5+ years of experience in mission-critical construction or a comparable MEP-focused environment (e.g., biopharma or life sciences); data center experience preferred.
- Experience working for a general contractor, subcontractor, or equipment vendor preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of construction scheduling, project budgeting, and cost control practices.
- Technical understanding of MEP systems and data center operations.
- LEED AP credential preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
