Location: Amity
The Centerpoint School District is accepting applications for the position of High School English/Language Arts teacher for the Spring 2026 semester. Applicants must have appropriate education and certification from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Centerpoint School District operates on a 4-day week schedule Monday-Thursday with Friday off. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Preferred candidates will:

* Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of inclusive practices
* Create a safe and orderly classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
* Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student conduct, develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure
* Plan instruction designed to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth and development of children; formatively assess student progress and modify instructional techniques; plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students; refer children to support services within the community as needed.
* Guide the learning process toward the achievements of curriculum goals by establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects; integrate skills into units and learning centers in the classroom
* Promote the community spirit of the School by being responsible to the needs of the administration, staff, and children of the School at all times; use language that is encouraging and constructive in tone and volume when communicating with children or parents.
