Position Summary:

We are hiring an enthusiastic upper elementary teacher for one open position that may be assigned to 4th, 5th, or 6th grade based on the candidate's strengths and experience. The ideal candidate creates an engaging, inclusive classroom where every student is challenged to grow academically and personally, and who values strong relationships, high expectations, and data‑driven instruction.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess rigorous, standards‑aligned instruction in core subjects (ELA, math, science, social studies) appropriate to assigned grade (4-6).
Build trusting, respectful relationships with students to create a safe, motivating learning environment.
Differentiate instruction and use formative/summative assessments to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Establish and maintain high academic expectations, clear routines, and consistent classroom management.
Collaborate with grade‑level teams, specialists, and families to support student learning and development.
Use data to inform instruction, set learning goals, and monitor student progress.
Support students' social‑emotional growth through restorative practices and positive behavior supports.
Communicate proactively with families regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom events.
Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, and school events.
Uphold school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality.

Qualifications
Valid Arkansas teaching certification for elementary grades or eligibility for certification.
Experience teaching upper elementary grades (4-6) preferred; willingness and ability to teach 4th, 5th, or 6th grade based on school needs.
Strong classroom management skills and experience with differentiation.
Ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues; energetic and student‑centered approach.
Proficiency using assessments and instructional technology to support learning.
Commitment to high academic expectations and continuous professional growth.
