Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered Secondary Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-26 school year. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a rigorous and inclusive learning environment, empowering students to master core competencies while preparing them for college, career, and community leadership.

Instructional Excellence

* Create engaging, standards-aligned lessons that challenge students to think critically and solve complex problems within your subject area.

* Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

* Utilize modern Ed technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and prepare students for a tech-driven world.

* Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and adjustments.

Classroom Culture & Management

* Establish and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and respects all students.

* Use proactive classroom management techniques to maximize instructional time and promote positive student behavior.

Professionalism & Collaboration

* Collaborate with peers to develop interdisciplinary connections and share high-leverage teaching strategies.

* Participate in ADE-required professional development and stay current with pedagogical research and state standards.

* Maintain transparent and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and holistic well-being.

Institutional Support

* Mentor students through academic and personal growth milestones, including recommendations for post-secondary opportunities.

* Support school-wide initiatives such as student recruitment, community events, and the development of school culture.

* Additional tasks as requested to support student achievement, school culture, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.

* Valid Arkansas Standard Teaching License in the relevant subject area for grades 7-12. Eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or an Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) is acceptable.

* Prior teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred.

* Must pass all state and federal background checks, including fingerprinting and child maltreatment registry checks.

* Strong content mastery and a passion for the subject matter.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with adolescents.

* Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a significant plus.

Additional Information

Teacher salaries will be based on experience, degree level, and licensure per the SY 2025-26 Salary Schedule range.
