Ozark Opportunities, Inc. is seeking motivated professionals who are passionate about early education.
Compensation &Hours:
Full 8-hour day of work: $100 a day (pre-tax). Hours vary; program provides a minimum of 8 hours a week. This program is capped at 2 program participants per center. Hours each week may vary based on center needs. The role does not have a set schedule.
Roles & Responsibilities :- Assist the Teacher in carrying out the daily lesson plan and appropriate center activities
- Maintain a safe, healthy learning environment and provide for children’s feeling of security away from home.
- Work closely with the Teacher to ensure developmental tasks are completed per ECLKC and OHS requirements.
- Work closely with Nutrition Specialties to ensure healthy practices.
- Assist with the recruitment of volunteers and future clients for service.
- Mandated reporter of suspected cases of Child Abuse and Neglect.
We expect qualified candidates to have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in a teaching environment or with low-income families, possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as basic knowledge of computer operation and software. They must have an active and unhindered Driver’s License with personal reliable transportation and successfully pass a Criminal Background check including FBI fingerprint and Child Maltreatment checks.
Physical Requirements:Frequent lifting (able to lift up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping movements within the classroom. Agility to move around classroom furniture and materials. Occasional driving to trainings.
