Elementary Principal
Rivercrest School District — Wilson, Arkansas
Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Superintendent, the Head Elementary Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of the elementary school. The principal is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all school activities and programs to ensure high levels of student achievement, positive school culture, and effective staff performance.
Duties and Responsibilities Instructional Leadership- Conduct daily classroom walkthroughs and provide timely, actionable feedback to teachers.
- Support and monitor effective instruction in all classrooms.
- Complete summative teacher evaluations in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Lead the planning and execution of staff professional development.
- Oversee the implementation of district‑provided curriculum.
- Organize and supervise instructional programs and academic initiatives.
- Review and analyze student data for goal setting and progress monitoring.
- Facilitate and support the Professional Learning Community, PLC, process and team meetings.
- Oversee student supervision, including cafeteria, hallways, car line, and bus line.
- Lead student behavior support and discipline processes.
- Promote a positive school climate that demonstrates respect and rapport with students.
- Maintain consistent, two‑way communication with parents and guardians.
- Serve as chair of the school leadership team.
- Manage the overall administration and daily operations of the elementary school.
- Supervise and evaluate certified and classified staff assigned to the building.
- Ensure compliance with district policies and Arkansas Department of Education regulations.
- Adhere to standards of professional conduct.
- Attend and supervise school activities, including parent nights, literacy events, festivals, athletic events, and other extracurricular programs.
- Provide leadership during extended contract days, including end‑of‑year and beginning‑of‑year preparation and summer programming oversight.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
- Arkansas Administration Certification required.
- Successful teaching experience required.
- Demonstrated instructional leadership and data analysis skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of PLC structures and school improvement processes.
- 240‑Day Contract
- Salary per district licensed salary schedule
