UHP (Unlock Human Potential)

UHP is a veteran-focused education and leadership development organization based on an 800-acre campus in Northwest Arkansas. Through immersive, high-impact programs, we develop service members and veterans into leaders—equipped with the skills, mindset, and purpose to thrive in their next chapter.

Our approach is built on four core pillars:

We integrate human performance, leadership development, and real-world skill building to prepare individuals for meaningful, long-term careers.

Licensed Counselor & Instructor The Opportunity

The Licensed Counselor & Instructor plays a critical role in delivering the UHP experience by supporting the emotional development, psychological safety, and performance readiness of our students.

This is a hybrid role that blends student support, group facilitation, and instructional leadership. It is not a traditional therapy role—instead, it focuses on creating a psychologically safe learning environment, providing brief supportive interventions, and equipping students with tools for emotional regulation, resilience, and growth.

You will work directly with student cohorts—primarily veterans in transition—while collaborating with instructors, coaches, and leadership to ensure a structured, high-performance learning environment.

  • Contribute across UHP programs (IHC, CPT, CNC, leadership tracks)
  • Support community-building and campus culture initiatives
  • Participate in AARs to improve program delivery and outcomes
What We’re Looking For Education & Experience
  • Licensed mental health professional (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, PMHNP, or equivalent)
  • 3–5+ years post-licensure experience (ideally with veterans or high-stress populations)
  • Experience teaching, facilitating, or working with adult learners
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong foundation in trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches (ACT, MI, mindfulness, NVC, CFT, IFS, etc.)
