Dance Instructor (Part‑Time Faculty Pool) – Fresno City College Campus. This position is part of a continuous recruitment process for part‑time faculty, with candidates placed in a pool for future vacancies.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities- Teach assigned part‑time Dance courses on a schedule determined by the department.
- Use diverse pedagogies and integrate instructional technologies across face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Apply institutionally approved curriculum outlines and teaching methods.
- Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, oral responses, and other assessments aligned with course objectives.
- Provide course syllabi to students.
- Maintain classroom records in accordance with District Policy and submit grading and evaluation reports timely.
- Teach in various instructional settings and times as required.
- Fulfill duties of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122 and other related responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated responsiveness to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds in relation to equity‑mindful practice.
- Graduate degree (Master’s) in Dance, Physical Education with a dance emphasis, or Theater with dance emphasis; OR
- Bachelor’s in the above fields AND a Master’s in Physical Education, Life Science, Physiology, Theatre Arts, Kinesiology, Humanities, Performing Arts, or Music; OR
- Valid California Community College Credential; OR
- Equivalent education or experience (requiring equivalency).
- Experience incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion in instruction.
- Recent experience working with racially and socioeconomically under‑represented students.
- Willingness to examine and improve instructional, relational, and classroom practices.
- Experience facilitating multicultural communication and supporting high‑need students.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance instruction and student support.
- Computer proficiency and use of instructional technologies.
- Effective communication skills with students and staff.
- Knowledge of assessment methods, the community college mission, and its goals.
- Newly hired part‑time faculty placed on step one (1) of the Part‑Time Faculty Salary Schedule.
- Salary classification based on education and experience per the Part‑Time Faculty Salary Classifications.
- Sick leave accrual based on assignment hours.
