The Harrisburg Juvenile Treatment Center, is dedicated to providing at-risk young females with a comprehensive, trauma-responsive program that fosters both personal and academic growth. Our facility is designed to create an environment where young women can rebuild their lives and develop the skills necessary for a successful future. Our goal is to empower young women to grow into successful, resilient adults.

Follows an approved Teacher Pay Scale, starting at $50,000 a year and increasing based on level of education and experience.

A Special Education Teacher will work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies. As a teacher, you will track student attendance, maintain student grades, prepare lesson plans, and assist as needed in the classroom setting. With proven and efficient school policies and procedures, the Special Education Teacher will respond to the needs of students who have a variety of ability levels.
Tobe considered you should
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree ~
- Have an active teacher's certification in Special Education ~
- Be at least 21 years of age ~
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~
- Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~
- Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
