Aspects Of The Task:

• Processing a current technological problem from the areas of sintering, surface/edge treatment, mechanical processing, quality measurement or process automation in the process chain of the production of cutting plates from WC-Co-sinter metal
• Introduction to technologically scientific foundations and company-specific technologies
• Determination of the state of science and technology through literature research
• Analysis of the backgrounds of the problem through internal company research and employee surveys
• Independent conduct and evaluation of experiments and analyses
• Identification of cause-effect relationships and correlation of process interactions
• Showing cost and quality potentials as well as outlook on further developments

Your Profile:

• Engineering, natural or material science master's degree at a university, e.g. in the field of mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science, etc., with a corresponding bachelor's degree
• Independent and systematic working method in connection with the ability to quickly and confidently adapt to new methods and technologies
• Advanced knowledge in the field of production technology, material science, measurement technology or material testing
• Very good German language skills in speech and writing for understanding communication in the production environment

The position is at the Walter AG development and production site in Münsingen.
