Project Engineer Substations

Together we apply our expertise in grid expansion to drive infrastructure projects for the energy transition in collaboration with our customers. The focus of this role is on new and renovation projects of substations in the transmission and distribution grid. Master challenging grid expansion projects with us and actively contribute to the technical, timely, and quality-assured implementation of the energy transition.

Your Mission

As a project engineer substations (all genders), you will take on diverse tasks in national energy infrastructure projects and support our clients in the role of project coordinator or client representative within complex project organizations. You will accompany substation projects through several project phases – from planning to execution – and actively contribute to the development of our area of expertise.

The position is available in full-time and part-time.

What We Expect From You

• Technical project management You will take over the holistic coordination of new and renovation projects in substations and be the central interface between technology, planning, and implementation. You will manage internal specialist disciplines as well as external partners and ensure a smooth project flow throughout all project phases.
• Interfaces & Quality in Control You will ensure that all trades work efficiently together and keep technical requirements, changes, and dependencies in sight at all times. At the same time, you will support the client in quality assurance, structure project documentation, and accompany the technical handover.
• Digitalization & Interface Management You will bring your ideas into the development of our processes and digital tools and actively drive the standardization and efficiency of substation projects. You will support the introduction of modern IT platforms for the planning, control, and documentation of complex infrastructure projects.

We Are Looking For

• You have a completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, civil engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field.
• You have an interest or initial experience in the substation environment, grid expansion, or plant construction.
• You have ideally already gained knowledge in technical standards as well as project and planning processes.
• You work in a structured, analytical manner and convince through your problem-solving skills.
• You are willing to travel for projects and work flexibly in different project environments.
• You have fluent German and good English skills.
