Principal Product Application Engineer

As a Principal Product Application Engineer, you will work on developing and validating advanced SiC-based solutions, turning cutting-edge semiconductor technology into real-world applications. You will collaborate with global teams, support customers, and help drive new products to market, combining hands-on engineering with strong application insight.

• Design power electronics platforms using SiC technologies
• Run and analyze testing and validation of power systems
• Build demo systems and present solutions to customers
• Support product go-to-market and customer design-in activities
• Create and deliver technical presentations, training, and webinars
• Help shape next-generation semiconductor performance through application insights
• Support device testing, characterization, and modelling
• Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and universities
• Work in a global, multicultural team

• M.Sc. Degree or higher in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• 5+ years in the semiconductor industry (power applications focus; WBG preferred)
• Strong experience in hardware design for SiC, GaN, and IGBT applications
• Knowledge of thermal/mechanical design, gate driving, and inductance optimization
• Skilled in measurements, testing, and high-voltage lab environments
• Solid experience with PCB design, simulation, and power module design
• Able to connect device physics, converter design, and customer needs
• Good communication skills; fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Hands-on approach and willingness to travel occasionally
