• Consulting the top management of our clients in the area of product costs in the automotive and industrial goods sectors
• Conception and leadership of strategic cost & value engineering initiatives with action fields in the technical and commercial areas
• Analysis of cost structures and cost drivers across products and bill of materials, and derivation of clear, implementable savings potentials
• Conducting purchase part price analyses including structured integration of suppliers (e.g., through moderated workshops)
• Building robust should-cost and target-cost models including calculation system, assumptions, and benchmarks as a basis for negotiations
• Supporting supplier-close work streams – e.g., supplier costing, negotiation preparation – to realize short-term and long-term potentials
• Supporting project acquisition and interface function to modularization and portfolio/product strategy

• Successfully completed university degree, preferably in (business) engineering, business administration, or a comparable technical field
• At least five years of professional experience in the industrial environment (OEM, Tier-1) and/or in management consulting – ideally in areas such as industrial engineering, production planning, industrialization, procurement, or supplier management – with clear "hands-on" exposure to cost structures
• Proven expertise in product cost optimization, purchase part cost analysis, and the derivation and implementation of effective measures
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers (e.g., process steps, cycle times, machine rates, overheads, logistics, and transport costs)
• Strong analytical skills, a structured working method, and the ability to independently drive topics forward and represent them confidently in client situations
• Strong communication and moderation skills, especially in the context of workshops and interaction with suppliers
• A robust network in the industry to support acquisition and business development activities is an advantage
• Very good command of German and English as well as a high willingness to travel domestically and abroad
