Risk Engineer For Insurances

What You Will Expect:- Risk assessment of insured risks to identify potential risks and proposals for risk minimization or elimination
- Complete risk assessment of potential customers to support underwriters
- Creation of damage analyses to best support underwriters
- Support and advice to our customers around the area of 'Fire' and damage prevention: interest in and high willingness to learn about automatic sprinklers and hydraulic calculations, assessing damage potentials to natural hazards (wind/storm, flooding, earthquakes, machinery breakdown)
- Further support of underwriters in technical issues and various research assignments
- Advising customers on planned new and remodeling projects
- Creating and presenting specialist lectures to internal and external customers
- Completed engineering degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering, business engineering or comparable courses) or equivalent technical training with relevant work experience
- At least initial work experience, ideally as a risk engineer/field risk engineer (m/f/d) at an insurance company or as an expert (m/f/d) in the field of fire protection or natural hazards
- Certifications and additional training as well as experience in the field of fire protection, security, damage prevention are advantageous
- Applicable knowledge of internationally recognized fire protection and damage prevention standards (e.g. NFPA, VdS, FM Global etc.) as well as local safety standards in the area
- Self-organization and independent and reliable working style
- Hands-on mentality, quick comprehension and good self-organization
- Technical expertise; the ability to grasp complex situations and independently come to results
- Fluent spoken and written German and English
- Willingness for high travel within the German-speaking area (50% including time on site at the locations)
