Process Control Engineer

- Understands and actively promotes safety and takes personal responsibility to seek out at‑risk behaviors and conditions to positively contribute to the overall goal of zero incidents.
- Read and understand process and instrumentation diagrams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain area control strategies that improve mill safety, production, and reliability.
- Provide technical support to the area production management team, including troubleshooting process issues, supporting installation of new equipment, and advising on changes to existing logic.
- Lead/participate in mill capital projects requiring addition or modification of existing DCS/QCS equipment and controls.
- Support after‑hours process control issues as required and participate in weekend duty coverage.
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a process control engineer preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience with ABB 800xA, Bailey Infi‑90, or Emerson Provox control systems is a plus.
- Effective communication at all levels of the organization, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self‑sufficient, results‑driven, and detail‑oriented mindset.
- Strong decision‑making and communication skills.
The Process Control Engineer manages all process control related activities in the assigned area, supports operating departments to minimize cost and optimize operations, and interacts with all departments within the mill. This is a safety‑sensitive position.
You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that may include interviews, an employment background check, a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness‑for‑duty test (for some positions).
