Magic Screams opens Saturday, 9/26! Transform the ordinary into the extraordinary—and the spooky—by joining our Magic Screams team as a Costume & Makeup Artist. This hands-on position is responsible for applying makeup, special effects, prosthetics, and assisting with costuming to ensure each scare actor is fully prepared for their role. From eerie beauty to gruesome realism, you'll create unforgettable visual characters that enhance the immersive fright experience for our guests.

Duties And Responsibilities:
- Apply theatrical and special effects makeup, prosthetics, and face/body paint to bring scare actors' characters to life.
- Follow face chart designs or approved creative concepts provided by supervisors.
- Assist actors with costume fitting, dressing, and adjustments to ensure comfort, safety, and show quality.
- Collaborate with performers and costuming staff to ensure a cohesive final look.
- Assist with quick changes or touch-ups during event operations as needed.
- Assist in tracking and organizing costumes, accessories, and makeup supplies.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older.
- Able to work weekends from September 26th through October 31st in the evenings.
- Have demonstrated skill in makeup application.
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and consistency in executing character looks.
- Must be comfortable working in high-energy, fast-paced environments.
- Must have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in theatrical, film, or special effects makeup.
- Knowledge of costume preparation, fitting, and basic repairs.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and perform for up to eight hours a shift.
- Requires occasional kneeling and bending.
- Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
- Requires occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds.
- Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, corrected 20/20 vision, hearing and speech.
