Job Summary
The Vice President, Finance reports to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (Sr VP & CFO) and is responsible for planning, managing and implementing all consolidated hospital financial reporting, analyses, forecasting, and maintaining internal financial controls. Establishes policies and procedures designed to promote financial control, to enhance the financial position of the hospital, and to meet the tests of the independent auditors and the Board of Trustees.
Directs the financial accounting and reporting practices in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements and in compliance with the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as other regulatory agency, state, and federal requirements. This position works collaboratively with others throughout the organization to enhance financial reporting and review, improve financial literacy and develop related strategic initiatives.
Serves as the primary liaison to external parties including, but not limited to, accountants/auditors, rating agencies, financial advisors, and insurance brokers.
- Plan, manage and implement all consolidated hospital financial reporting, analyses, and forecasting.
- Maintain internal financial controls and establish policies and procedures to promote financial control.
- Direct financial accounting and reporting practices in compliance with FASB, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across the organization to enhance financial reporting, literacy, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as primary liaison to external parties including accountants/auditors, rating agencies, financial advisors, and insurance brokers.
- Job Details/Work Arrangement:
Hybrid flexibility; regular on-site presence as determined by management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (preferred)
- CPA (preferred)
- Minimum five (5) years Healthcare/Public Accounting experience combined (required)
- Minimum ten (10) years (preferred); preference given to candidates with demonstrated mastery of the job content in multiple organizations
- Good organizational and verbal/written communication.
- Compensation Range: $156.25 - $204.33
