The Assistant Security/BSA Officer serves as the designated backup to the Security/BSA Officer and is responsible for supporting and administering the Bank's Information Security and BSA/AML programs. This role ensures continuity of operations in the absence of the Security/BSA Officer and assumes direct ownership of assigned program components, monitoring activities, reporting functions, and operational duties. This position also serves as the primary owner of fraud monitoring systems and related processes, conducts investigations, mitigates loss exposure, and implements process improvements to strengthen internal controls and customer protection.
The position supports regulatory compliance with GLBA, FFIEC guidance, BSA/AML requirements, OFAC regulations, and other applicable federal and state banking regulations.
Primary Responsibilities Information Security and BSA/AML Program Support- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank's Information Security Program.
- Assist in administering the Bank's BSA/AML compliance program.
- Support independent testing and regulatory examination preparation.
- Administer and serve as system owner for the Bank'sFraud Monitoring platform.
- Mitigate potential losses through timely account restrictions, provisional credits, chargebacks, and escalations.
- Prior banking or financial institution experience.
- Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and apply risk-based decision-making.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet regulatory deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong understanding of information security principles, cybersecurity controls, and risk management practices.
- Working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC requirements.
- Experience with fraud monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of Regulation E dispute requirements.
