The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for executing and settling transactions initiated by the frontline staff, ensuring adherence to all Bank and regulatory policies and processes while providing exceptional customer service in all aspects of the position. This includes a variety of operational functions to support daily banking operations such as providing wire and ACH coverage and processing, research and adjustments, balancing and reconciliation and return/exception item review and processing, as well as other functions as needed.
The Operations Support Specialist maintains in-depth knowledge of, and adheres to, compliance guidelines and regulations, as well as bank policies and procedures, completing required compliance testing in a timely manner.
The position requires working with confidential Bank and customer confidential information and assisting in the training of less experienced employees if needed.

1. While working with confidential Bank and customer information, provide support and exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers as needed. Represent the bank in a professional manner at all times.
2. Maintain proficient knowledge and adhere to all applicable banking rules and regulations; assure compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules, regulations, and responsibilities that are specific to the position.
3. Handle Unposted Item Repair, Unposted ACH Rejects, Return Item Processing, adjustments, stop pay suspects, IOLTA remittance, exception item processing, and other duties as needed.
4. Working with confidential Bank and customer information, verify and reconcile incoming and outgoing cashletter totals and balance various general ledgers, making corrections as needed and ensuring proper documentation to meet or exceed compliance standards.
5. Print and mail ACH combined return notices, NSF notices and CD interest checks, validate statement print.
6. While handling customer and Bank confidential information, provide account verification/ acuity process.
7. Promote sales by offering Bank products and services when able.
8. While handling customer confidential information perform account research as needed.
9. Process levy, garnishment, subpoena research in coordination with Bank Legal Counsel, and handle escheatment process in conjunction with Operations Support Manager.
10. Perform daily wire transfer functions to meet and exceed operational goals. Process both incoming and outgoing wires, both domestic and international, in a timely and accurate manner that adheres to all bank policies, regulations and procedures.
11. Communicate with accounting department and assist in monitoring daily Federal Reserve cash balance.
12. Review debit card documentation and index documents as needed, maintaining confidentiality of Bank and customer information at all times.
13. Assist in special projects and tasks for the department and/or the Bank as directed, processing various reports when needed.
14. Works with Bank and customer confidential information while performing the essential duties enumerated above.
15. Be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
