About the Role

In this role, you will shape the economic control of the RARE business unit and act as a sparring partner on an equal footing with executives and management. You will combine strategic thinking with sound controlling expertise and create transparency for sustainable and entrepreneurial decisions. You will work closely with the RARE management team and the international headquarter. Your contribution ensures that financial perspectives are firmly anchored in the company's control.

At the same time, you will take on a central role in the financial control and transparency of Chiesi, working with the team to take on essential tasks of financial control – particularly in the context of monthly closings, balance sheet, and cash flow topics.

Your Tasks

You will advise the RARE business unit and other departments as a business partner in all controlling relevant and economic questions. You will act as a sparring partner for the RARE management team and actively support the strategic orientation of the business unit. You will take overall responsibility for the P&L of the RARE business unit including budget, forecast, and demand planning and actively manage the financial performance in close cooperation with the management.

You will ensure the timely preparation of monthly closings, reports, and deviation analyses as well as business cases and derive concrete action recommendations from them. You will drive forward central topics of financial control together with the team, particularly in the areas of balance sheet and cash flow analyses, and ensure holistic financial transparency and control. You will take on part project management for commercial topics, for example in acquisitions or international projects, with direct reporting line to the senior finance management.

You will continuously develop controlling and control instruments, KPIs, and digital control processes and maintain local SAP and BI systems.

What You Bring

You have a completed higher education degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable course of study with a focus on finance/controlling. You have many years of extensive experience (> 10 years) in controlling or finance business partnering – ideally in an international environment – and have repeatedly taken independent responsibility for business areas. You think strategically, analyze complex economic relationships and financial processes confidently, and translate numbers into clear management recommendations.

You work in a structured, self-reliant manner and convince through a high level of business understanding and consulting strength. You are confident in using SAP systems, BI tools, and common reporting and analysis tools and enjoy digitalization. You take responsibility, act in a binding manner, and like to work together across areas and countries. You actively live diversity, openness, and cooperation and identify with our shared value principles.

You communicate confidently in German and English verbally and in writing.
