Medical Laboratory Technician

Candidates must hold an Associate of Science Degree or its equivalent, meeting the specified MLT/MT requirements. Responsibility is clinical in nature. Includes, but not limited to: collection of blood specimens by venous and capillary puncture; preparation, handling, processing and storage of various specimens in accordance with laboratory testing standards; registering outpatients, managing test ordering, overseeing the receiving and distribution of specimens and maintaining files of patient reports;

demonstrating proficiency in the operation, maintenance, calibration and quality control of analytical equipment; conducting examinations and performing tests on human specimens with precision, contributing valuable information for patient diagnosis, treatment and monitoring within the scope of education, training, competency as determined by the Medical Director, ensuring quality care.
