SUMMARY:
The Billing Associate is responsible and accountable for timely insurance billing, insurance follow-up and monitoring denials.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
1 year of customer service or insurance related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other:
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer and office equipment skills required. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate effectively in a team as well as independently, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships is required.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Spend 8 hours or more on the telephone, in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Typically 5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts. Holiday and Weekends are rare and only as needed.
