Our busy dermatology clinic is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Medical Biller/Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical insurance billing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This position requires proficiency in data entry, analytical problem‑solving, customer service, and the use of 10‑key systems. A working knowledge of Windows platform, Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.

We are looking for a personable yet professional team player who can build positive relationships with patients while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of medical billing experience

• Accurately post charges and insurance payments.
• Efficiently manage claims denials, including appeals or refiling of claims.
• Draft letters to insurance companies as needed.
• Handle provider credentialing with insurance companies.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre‑certifications for procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and billing documentation.

• Exceptional customer service skills with a patient‑focused approach.
• Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines while working independently.

• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience (dermatology experience preferred but not required).
