The MRI Technologist (Acute Care) is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires technical expertise, patient-centered care, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards in a hospital environment.

Must-Haves

Are you a graduate of an approved imaging program? Do you have ARRT certification? Do you have MRI board certification (preferred but strongly desired)? Do you hold a State Radiation Operator License (if applicable)? Do you have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification?

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an approved imaging program (required) Associate's Degree (preferred)

Certifications / Licenses:

ARRT Certification (required) MRI Board Certification (preferred) State Radiation Operator License (as applicable) Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills

Experience performing MRI procedures in an acute care or hospital setting Strong knowledge of MRI imaging techniques, protocols, and equipment Ability to evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy Knowledge of patient safety, MRI safety protocols, and infection control standards Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-Have:

5+ years of MRI experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Perform MRI procedures as ordered by physicians Ensure proper patient positioning, safety, and comfort during imaging Operate and maintain MRI equipment in accordance with safety standards Review images for quality and accuracy before submission Follow all MRI safety protocols and regulatory compliance guidelines Maintain accurate documentation in patient records Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnosis and treatment Provide compassionate and patient-focused care
