Description:

The Pharmacist is responsible for appropriate, evidence based, medication use for the instituion. They ensure patients get the right medication at the right dose. Pharmacists must have a medication safety viewpoint and be in complaince with all applicable standards and regulations (TJC, BOP, CMS, etc). Pharmacists oversee the activities of pharmacy technicians. Pharmacists must engage in teaching as part of the hospital's mission.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree: BS Pharmacy. GA or SC Licensed Pharmacist depending on job location or eligible for licensure. License required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Requirements:
Pharm D Preferred. 2 years or more of experience in pharmacy as a pharmacy technician/intern and/or pharmacist.
