Description:
The trauma Registrar is an essential component of the trauma program. The registry provides for the collection, secure storage, and reporting of information about trauma patients, including facts related to the injury event, severity, care provided, and outcomes. Obtaining, coding, and sorting this information for analysis and reporting individual and aggregate results are the expressed purpose of the Trauma Registrar.
Position Requirements:
- Three years or more of experience in medical registry coding.
- Injury, diagnosis and procedure coding, AAAM Coding.
- CSTR, AAAM, PCP or other coding certification.
- Medical coding education.
