Must have

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing long-term IT strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Capability to identify and address risks within IT architecture and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in solution design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring quality, performance, and scalability of IT solutions through thorough testing and evaluation.
  • Experience with cloud-native data architectures, particularly:
    • Microsoft Azure Government
    • Azure Synapse Analytics
    • Serverless SQL & PySpark Pools
    • PySpark & Python scripting
    • Parquet, Delta Lake, and metadata-driven file structures
    • Great Expectations / PyTest for data validation
  • Familiarity with Healthcare Domain and Terminology Sets like SNOMED, ICD, CPT, LOINC, RXNORM, CVX, and NDC is required.
  • Must meet pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop IT systems and infrastructure architecture to fulfill organizational needs and objectives.
  • Create comprehensive diagrams, blueprints, and documentation detailing system components, configurations, and network topologies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of both new and existing IT systems and technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and solutions based on business requirements and industry trends.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and vendors, to align IT architecture with business goals.
  • Architect solutions within Microsoft Azure Government environments, adhering to FedRAMP and federal security requirements.
  • Design data architecture utilizing Azure Synapse Analytics, Serverless SQL Pools, and Serverless PySpark Pools.
  • Lead the development of data transformation, cleansing, and quality pipelines using PySpark Notebooks.
  • Design orchestration workflows using Synapse Pipelines for comprehensive data movement and processing.
  • Define storage and metadata strategies using Azure Delta Lake, Parquet file formats, and CSV-based metadata structures.
  • Implement data testing and validation techniques with Great Expectations and PyTest frameworks.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of healthcare data standards across data models and transformations.
  • Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
