Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Windows Domain Administrator to provide advanced support for a global engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Active Directory infrastructure and Windows server technologies, with a strong track record of managing domain operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting distributed teams through a ticket-based workflow.
This role supports a fast paced, highly technical environment and requires exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with teams across multiple global sites.
Job Requirements- Administer and maintain Active Directory across global domains, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.
- Manage and support Group Policy Objects (GPOs), OU structure, permissions, inheritance, and policy troubleshooting.
- Oversee domain replication health, diagnostics, and optimization.
- Perform Domain Controller upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and role transitions.
- Administer WSUS for update deployment, patch compliance, and troubleshooting.
- Respond to and resolve tickets involving authentication, access control, GPO, replication, and server issues.
- Use Power Shell to automate administrative tasks, improve efficiency, and support repeatable workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams in RTP, Wichita, San Jose, and Bangalore to support global systems and projects.
- Document procedures, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and operational best practices.
- 3+ years of experience as a Windows System or Domain Administrator in a midsize or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Active Directory administration
- Group Policy design and troubleshooting
- WSUS configuration and patch management
- Organizational Units (OUs) and domain structure
- Domain replication tools and methodologies
- Domain Controller upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle tasks
- Proficiency in Power Shell scripting and automation.
- Experience working in a ticket-based support model.
- Ability to work with global teams across time zones.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Experience supporting engineering or R&D environments.
- Familiarity with multi-site domain topology.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools, logs, and diagnostic utilities (dcdiag, repadmin, event logs, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
The target salary range for this position is 109, USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved.
Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
