Join a growing, employee oriented team looking for a long-term partner in the role of Helpdesk Technician II. This position will have responsibility for managing the intake, resolution and escalation of technical issues related to the IT environment and application, electronic mail, desktop hardware and software, server hardware and software and equipment related issues. The ideal candidate will enjoy the balance of supporting technology and collaborating with others in a team environment.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and expertise in managing the technical helpdesk function for the organization
- Maintains, updates and deploys equipment (e.g., workstations, PCs, software, hardware, etc.)
- Performs miscellaneous technical support tasks as required by the position (creates user access controls, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, replace hardware, assists with cybersecurity issues and solutions).
- This position requires a minimum of two years of IT support in a helpdesk environment
- Education:
Technical degree or equivalent work experience/training and certification - Must be 18 or older and able to pass Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check
- Knowledge of basic network design principals and concepts
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating system configurations
- Knowledge of providing IT support to remote employees
- Knowledge of user set-up and active control software and concepts
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks and activities
- Knowledge of network help desk software and methodologies
- Skill in creating technical and non-technical documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of personnel
- Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to changing environments
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
- Ability to constructively communicate sensitive or unwelcome information in a proactive and constructive manner
- Ability to work quickly and productively in times of high pressure/volume
- Ability to diagnose hardware, software, printing and network connectivity issues
