Agile Delivery Coach

Job Overview

Travelers is seeking an Agile Coach to help grow and transform how teams work to deliver value to our customers. This role will guide multiple teams on effective ways of working, challenge and advise teams and stakeholders, and assess and improve the organization’s agility.

• Act as a servant leader and change agent, coaching and mentoring teams on delivery practices and ways of working while role modeling Travelers’ leadership behaviors.
• Apply systems thinking techniques to help teams and leaders understand work flows, identify constraints, and design root-cause improvements.
• Facilitate and reinforce agility practices that improve flow for multiple teams, including backlog refinement and prioritization.
• Support implementation of metrics to optimize delivery of KPIs through responsiveness, quality, productivity, and customer value.
• Guide assigned Agile teams to deliver product increments and improve delivery practices over time.
• Raise observed issues and remove impediments, resolve conflicts, and recommend mitigation solutions.
• Continuously assess Agile maturity of teams and individuals, mentoring to address gaps and build sustainable capability.
• Participate in internal and external communities of practice, staying abreast of challenges and emerging trends.
• Facilitate open communication among teams and stakeholders, promoting positive dynamics and collaboration.
• Use coaching techniques that increase collaboration, transparency, and promote a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of Agile experience with a track record of leading teams to higher Agile maturity.
• 3+ years of experience as a coach.
• 2+ years of experience championing organizational change initiatives.
• 3+ years of experience implementing Agile principles in different cultures and environments.
• Demonstrated Agile mindset, embodying openness, courage, respect, focus, and commitment.
• Expert change leadership skills, managing conflict and risk mitigation.
• Tailored coaching techniques to inspire individuals and teams.
• Influence behaviors of leaders at all levels without traditional hierarchy.
• Servant leadership, fostering empowered and equal team members.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, adjusting to audience.
• Collaboration expertise in cross-functional multi-team environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and sharing learning.

• 2 years of Agile delivery experience.
• 3 years of business and/or technology related experience.

• Annual base salary range: $ – $ (market tier).
