Your missionWe are looking for a hands‑on data engineering leader who sets direction and architectural standards while actively contributing in code. You will play a central role in our data transformation by building secure, production‑ready data pipelines and products that enable analytics and AI s is not just an administrative role. You lead by example in engineering, design, and delivery.
Your responsibilities- Lead a global team of data engineers and architects.
- Design and deliver scalable, governed data products and pipelines.
- Define and enforce engineering best practices (Git, CI/CD, testing, deployment).
- Provide architectural oversight to ensure secure, robust, future-proof solutions.
- Collaborate across functions to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Balance strategic direction with hands‑on technical depth.
- 5+ years in data engineering and architecture with recent hands‑on coding (Python preferred).
- Experience delivering data products in distributed or multinational environments.
- Experience applying data mesh principles in practice.
- Strong communication skills and business‑technical translation ability.
- Databricks experience is a plus.

Location and travelThe role can be based in Epiroc offices in Czech Republic, Serbia or Poland. Occasional travel required.
