ROLE: Senior Analyst (12‑Month Fixed Term Contract)

LOCATION: Hybrid (UK – Office presence as required)

CONTRACT: Full Time (12‑Month FTC)

We're looking for a Senior Analyst who combines strong data engineering fundamentals with a passion for solving business problems through data, delivering high‑quality insight and driving performance. This role sits across analytics, data modelling, and emerging data science, working with large datasets to produce meaningful, actionable outcomes.

• Lead delivery of advanced analytics, identifying trends, anomalies, root causes, and performance drivers.
• Transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and business narratives for stakeholders.
• Build and maintain semantic data models, ensuring data is structured for intuitive reporting and deep analysis.
• Develop and optimise SQL and Python (Pandas) pipelines to prepare and curate Gold‑standard datasets.
• Design, manage, and monitor data pipelines, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Work across Silver, Gold, and Semantic layers within a Medallion Architecture.
• Troubleshoot upstream data issues and ensure outputs are built on reliable data foundations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and deliver value‑driven solutions.
• Communicate analytical outputs clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Work closely with Engineers and Analysts to ensure consistent, high‑quality data outputs across the lifecycle.

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Strong experience with SQL and Python (Pandas) for end‑to‑end data manipulation.
• Experience working within the Azure data stack (Microsoft Fabric preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
• Experience working with Medallion Architecture (Silver, Gold, Semantic layers).
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and orchestration tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business insights.
• Experience working with large datasets and delivering scalable analytical solutions.

• Experience with PySpark/Spark for high‑volume data processing.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques (e.g. hypothesis testing, correlation, distribution analysis).
• Exposure to data science concepts such as regression and classification models.
• Experience working within data engineering and analytics hybrid roles.

• Strong problem‑solving and investigative mindset.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and comfortable working in a hybrid, fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
