Subrogation & Recovery - Department Attorney

Cozen O'Connor is seeking a Department Attorney for our Subrogation & Recovery Department to join our dynamic team in our Charlotte office. Come work at an AmLaw 100 firm in a 9-5 role without the pressure of billable hours! Responsibilities include evaluating and handling large property claims including coordinating the investigation, retention, and management of experts, identifying potential theories of liability, and client reporting.

The role is primarily to triage large losses, closing those that are nonviable with client approval, and identifying claims with an appropriate factual and legal basis for pursuit of recovery. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience handling insurance claims, construction claims, or commercial litigation. Excellent interpersonal, research and writing skills, and a license in good standing in the resident state required.
