Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

Location: Huntsville

** Overview*
* We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to join a dynamic supply chain team supporting a high-performance manufacturing environment. This individual will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring material availability to support production and customer commitments. This is a fully on-site position.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Manage end-to-end supplier engagement, including supplier selection, RFQ/RFP processes, and negotiation of cost, delivery schedules, and lead times

+ Own procurement activities for assigned commodities or programs, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery objectives

+ Lead supplier performance management, including PO execution, change management, and ongoing supplier accountability

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, operations, engineering, quality, and program management teams to meet business objectives

+ Utilize ERP/MRP systems to monitor demand signals, identify risks, and proactively mitigate supply chain disruptions

+ Drive supplier performance improvements through regular scorecards, quarterly business reviews, and corrective action plans

+ Analyze MRP exception messages, PO status, and action reports to ensure continuity of supply

+ Identify and qualify alternate or secondary suppliers, including solutions for obsolete components

+ Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP systems

+ Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and operational procedures

+ Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction, inventory optimization, and supplier consolidation

+ Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines

+ Perform additional duties as assigned

** Required Qualifications*
* + 5+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain within a manufacturing environment

+ Solid understanding of buying to support the aerospace and defense industries

+ Strong understanding of supplier management and procurement processes

+ Experience working with ERP/MRP systems

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process flow diagrams

+ Well-versed in using Microsoft Excel daily

+ Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AR

** Education Requirements*
* + High School Diploma or GED required

+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
