How You’ll ContributeThe Senior Installation Superintendent – Electronic Security is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position supports the sales strategy of providing a point of contact for multiple disciplines during the life cycle of the project. It is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients’ buildings.
The Superintendent needs to coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects. They interpret our drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. The installation can include rack and enclosure build outs, panel terminations, device installation, testing and troubleshooting. The Superintendent will be responsible for our most complex system designs, will mentor other technicians and set the example in all aspects of the job.
You’ll Do
- Provide one point of onsite contact to the client
- Track hours for subcontractors and internal crew
- Run multiple installation superintendents on large projects
- Run long duration, large, complex projects and multiple subsystems (ESS)
- Review the BOM at the beginning of every job to understand material requirements
- Communicate required or not required items with Project Manager and Design Engineering team
- Keep job within scope of timeframe given
- If it cannot be managed, communicate with Regional Supervisor/Project Manager/Program Manager so management understands why the job is not getting done on time
- Take ownership of job schedules and hold technicians/lead technicians accountable for the work within the given timeframe
- Maintain schedule and follow DIV
28 specifications for quality control - Maintain communication with Regional Supervisor on a weekly basis and keep written records on One
Note:- Expected milestones for each week
- Work accomplished with technicians/trades (sub‑contractors, GC, EC)

- Discuss problems that may arise
- Site Readiness Document
- Site Inventory (kept up to date at minimum on a monthly basis)
- Redlines/RFIs
- Communicate the need for assistance and guidance for any required work, including labor problems and technical issues
- Catch problems in the drawing or matrix, communicate them to Project Manager/Design Engineer ASAP
- Prioritize time and manage multiple sites simultaneously
- Maintain constant communication with staff/sub‑contractors on any job site
- Delegate work to technicians/lead technicians/sub‑contractors, even when at different locations
- Maintain inventory and keep a record online and easily accessible for everyone (using One Note for record keeping)
- Communicate with Regional Supervisor/Project Manager if equipment is missing or defective; promptly notify appropriate party
- Operate in a positive team environment to share knowledge and develop skills
- Single point of contact for project manager for all field staff; technicians, union technicians, leads, supers, FE’s, etc
- Responsible for performing tasks on clients’ job sites with no supervision, coordinating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors; key senior field supervisor; delegates work, monitors others, communicates with key stakeholders; requires highest technical and people skills
