Welder 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds.
• Work from blueprints to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures.
• Operate hand grinders as needed.
• Visually inspect work and fixturing on an ongoing basis to check quality standards and appearance of the product.

• High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to do other duties as assigned.
• 1-year experience MIG Welding in a production setting.
• Ability to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment.

• Associate’s Degree in any field.
• AWS Certification.
• Knowledge of metallurgical properties or related coursework.
• 3-5 years experience MIG Welding in a production setting.

Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil, and water. May be exposed to any number of these elements.
