Why do we need you ?

In this position, employees will work in a variety of positions on the finishing line producing joint compound. When working as an operator, you will communicate the quality of our product to the rest of the team as well as maintain the quality. You will work rotating shifts because the plant operates 24/7/365. The individual will be required to learn several positions to fill in for vacancies.

Collectively, the teams manage the day-to-day operation to maintain a Preferred Choice status.

Compensation: $23.67 per hour

Shift: Rotating

* Unless you are filling in for someone out on leave. Then you would take over 12 hour rotating shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Rotating shifts - weekend and holiday work

* Working around heavy and moving equipment

* Requires standing and walking for extended periods

* Maintain Production Records accurately and timely manner

* Maintain proper housekeeping

* Dump hoppers from the production area

* Cross-train on other jobs with the plant

* Be committed to Good Attendance

* Monitor/Test/Inspect product for Quality

* Monitor End-Tape

* Willing to perform all tasks in a safe manner

* Perform LOTO as required per safety policies

* Willing to wear required PPE

* Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

* Ability to work independently

* Ability and willingness to adhere to all Job Procedures (Duty Sheets, SOPs, Testing Schedule)

* Team Player

* Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Working Conditions:

* Flexible work schedule with days, nights, and weekends.

* Works in a manufacturing plant environment with limited HVAC, concrete floors, and exposure to industrial noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature changes.

* Normal plant operation is 24 hours, 7 days a week, and work hours may vary depending on business needs.

* May require long hours, weekends, and holiday work.
