Job Description The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI-Shot, Remington and Speer. We have domestic ammunition manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Idaho, Arkansas, and Missouri, and service law enforcement, government agencies and sporting enthusiasts throughout the world. Today, The Kinetic Group is a part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which holds a diverse portfolio of companies in the defense, security, automotive, aerospace and rail industries.

The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for production planning, production control, RAW material purchasing and vendor management in order to support Remington Am munitions on time delivery to customer due date and other KPI's. This position reports to the Sr Manager, Production Planning & Scheduling and is based out of our Lonoke, Arkansas office. What you'll do:
Support Master Productions Schedules and component schedules/requirements based upon the production plan which takes the following into consideration: capacity constraints, understanding bottlenecks, all lead times, raw material availability, equipment and staffing. Issue purchase orders for raw material and work in process to support production schedules. Work with supplier teams on executing the procurement plan to ensure schedule commitments are met.

Work with Inventory Control team to improve inventory accuracy of raw material and work in process items. Attend production tier meetings, quality meetings, new product meetings and others. Manage raw material purchasing activities to ensure supply meets MRP “planned order” requirements to support internal manufacturing, and secure on-time delivery of raw materials through an organized purchasing process. Hold vendors accountable for on time and quality delivery, and partner with Sourcing Team, quality and engineering to evaluate and continuously improve vendor performance.

Identify and manage the risks associated with inventory levels needed to meet inventory KPI’s so that Operations and Distribution activities can meet operational excellence goals. Identify and ensure disconnects such as anticipated material shortages, non-conforming material, excess or obsolete materials are continuously monitored and resolved. Prepare long term (6 to 12 month) purchase projections for suppliers. Work with VPM on continuous improvement projects as it pertains to planning and purchasing.

Work with new products on introduction of new SKU’s. Work on ERP data updates in the system to ensure proper planning and purchasing can and will take place. You have:
Bachelors’ degree preferred or 2 –3 years of experience in lieu of degree. Solid working knowledge of ERP systems, MRP, Production control, Inventory control, etc. Lean manufacturing process experience. Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and communicate to large groups. Strong analytical, problem solving skills and an effective team member.

Able to meet deadlines, adapt to rapidly changing priorities and able to handle multiple tasks. Background in purchasing and vendor management. You might have: CPIM certification desired. Experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics AX, preferred. Work Environment:

Pay Range: $56,300.00 - $78,800.00 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
