Welder 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds.
• Work from blueprints, set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures.
• Operate hand grinders as needed.
• Visually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product.
• Conduct 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting (one year of experience).
• Read and follow welding symbols on blueprints.
• Communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment.
• Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
• 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting.
• Knowledge of metallurgical properties or related coursework.
• 3-5 years experience MIG Welding in Production setting (preferred).

Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water.
