Job Duties / Responsibilities- Receive and inspect deliveries/shipments.
- Pull and prepare materials and equipment for shipment in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Order and issue materials and supplies as needed to support operations and maintenance.
- Organize and maintain records of all transactions in compliance with SOX requirements.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts, reconcile inventory, and stock material.
- Operate forklift and/or crane.
- Maintain and use CPC for vendor stocking following all CPC policies.
- Work with Senior/Planner Scheduler to secure parts for work orders and schedules.
- Research material questions and coordinate resolution of problems.
- Identify, inspect, prepare, and process materials for salvage or disposal.
- Must have a current motor vehicle operator’s license in good standing.
- Must have computer skills and experience working in programs such as Passport and Work Management.
- Be willing to attend and take part in safety meetings.
- Be neat, clean, and orderly in work and personal appearance.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., operate forklifts, and perform basic math calculations.
- Should be able to perform at a high level without detailed supervision.
- Ability to organize and establish priorities and work under pressure.
- Willing to work extended hours during emergency conditions.
- Available for callouts.
- Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Preferred:
- Associates Degree.
- Prior storeroom or parts management experience required.
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Ability to learn the nomenclature of standard electric utility material.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred:
- Indus Asset Suite experience.
- Preferred:
- Forklift certification.
Functional Knowledge
Ability to perform basic, repetitive, and manual activities in the job to provide outstanding service, maintain attention to detail, and complete work in a timely manner.
Problem Solving
Good problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations.
Interpersonal Skills
Good oral and written communication skills; ability to work cooperatively and productively with other team members to complete tasks with little supervision.
