Ha - Evisceration Associate

Responsible for performing numerous repetitive tasks, manual and/or machine-assisted, to produce turkey products and parts such as processing, cutting, and packaging products, while adhering to strict safety, quality, and sanitation standards to support the daily production and company goals in the assigned department.

• Perform varying manual, repetitive tasks to process meat from the turkeys.
• Ensure product safety and product defense in the plant.
• Follow all GMP and HACCP procedures that relate to product safety with the facility.
• Support all Food Safety initiatives.
• Use tools or equipment, or complete tasks manually.
• Monitor equipment operation and promptly notify appropriate personnel of any malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Rotate through various functions within the processing department as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school Diploma or related preferred.
• Entry level does not require previous experience in a Production role.

• Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups.
• Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work.
• Ability to train, maintain and promote a safe work environment.
• Read and understand HACCP along with FDA and OSHA requirements as needed.
• Ability to use utensils/tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness and ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Meet time standards for each line (e.g., 4 pieces of product per minute).

• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands, arms, and fingers to manually handle carcasses and parts. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Certain roles may require specific vision abilities that may include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Work performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
• Position requires working around processing plant equipment.
• Must be physically capable of working extended hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends if needed and in varying elements that could include damp, cold, wet, hot or warm environment, standing for long periods of time.
• Wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
• Noise level may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
