The production technician supports daily production in a manufacturing environment. Daily tasks may include material handling, shipping, receiving, working with hand tools, processing raw materials including working with thermoplastics, data entry, paperwork entry, and assembly of fans and other components or systems.
Responsibilities- Maintain and organize work area, practicing 5S principles.
- Operate, monitor, and adjust manufacturing equipment and assembly to meet production targets.
- Participate in production and productivity meetings.
- Set up tools and machines for specific production runs and assembly.
- Inspect components and finished product for quality, record measurements, and apply pass/fail criteria.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
- Document production data, scrap, downtime, and process deviations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing or production, or assembly.
- Basic mechanical skills: working with hand tools, measurement devices, etc.
- Familiar with safety protocols and personal protective equipment.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, moving equipment, and other standard industrial conditions. It requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical Demands:
Positions in this function typically require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves close accuracy and visual awareness.
- Compliance with company attendance standards.
- Incumbents may be subjected to moving tow motors, electrical currents, glue, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and workspace restrictions.
